Fotios Papadimitrakopoulos
Professor of Chemistry
Associate Director, Institute of Materials Science
Fotios Papadimitrakopoulos conducts research on carbon nanotubes – tubes so small, they have the highest curvature on earth. He calls them the “Cinderella” molecules of nanotechnology -- inexpensive materials that can make products stronger and lighter. His research group recently discovered how to separate and manipulate carbon nanotubes in a way that could have broad applicability in drug and gene delivery and electronic devices.
