Charles A. Duelfer, ’74 MA, history

In 2004, President George Bush sent intelligence officer Charles Duelfer to Iraq as head of the Iraq Survey Group to find out what had gone wrong with the Administration’s assumptions about Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). Duelfer’s report to Congress that fall was described by the Washington Post as contradicting nearly every prewar assertion made by top administration officials about Iraq.
